A 1996 regulation required that all government facilities report on their energy performance. In 2004 the Secretary of Energy issued a study of potential energy savings in public buildings. This study was the basis for a new campaign to improve energy efficiency and reduce electricity peak demand in national public administration buildings. At the municipal level, Argentina has also been active in improving the efficiency of street lighting. | ||
